Scope of Works:
• Structural strengthening and rehabilitation of concrete elements of ship loading crane

Project Description:
Fibrwrap Hellas was assigned to perform the structural strengthening and rehabilitation works for the concrete structure were the ship loading structure is placed. Due to exposure to the severe marine weather the columns, beams and slab of the structure had obvious deterioration.
The Tyfo^® Fibrwrap System of SEH-51A with the Tyfo^® SW-1 underwater curing epoxy was used to strengthen the slab, beams and base of the structure. According to the design the columns were strengthened with the use of Tyfo^® Fibrwrap System of SCH-41 with the Tyfo^® SW-1 underwater curing epoxy. The requirement set out by the engineer of record for using a saturator was satisfied.
The full scope of the project was successfully completed in one week.
The loading crane was fully operational during the execution of the works which were carried out during intervals between loadings for safety reasons.
